Potash Hill Welcomes Marlboro Studio School
April 13, 2023
The Marlboro Studio School, directed by former Marlboro College professor David Eichelberger, will begin offering studio classes on Potash Hill this spring. Adult and youth ceramics classes are currently enrolling on a first-come, first-served basis. Fall programming plans include classes in a variety of media and formats, including community classes, multi-day workshops, and artist residencies.
“The existing visual arts facilities on the Potash Hill campus are an outstanding opportunity to bring together individuals who communicate through the work of their hands,” said Eichelberger. “As a residential craft school, the Marlboro Studio School invites students from across the country to stay on campus and immerse themselves in a studio experience to learn, develop, and refine their skills. The Potash Hill campus is also a perfect place to host artist residencies: longer periods of time that self-guided participants can access the studios in the retreat-like atmosphere of rural southern Vermont.”
The school will be based in the Visual Arts Center. For more information and to sign up for classes, we encourage you to attend the Marlboro Studio School’s Community Open House on May 20 and to visit their website, marlborostudioschool.org.
